James D. Bradshaw

 

Jim Bradshaw joined the Media Bureau’s Audio Division in 1991. After several years as a Supervisory Engineer in the Division, he was promoted to Deputy Chief for Engineering of the Audio Division.

Jim specializes in commercial and non-commercial FM, FM Translator, and LPFM issues and has been involved in several of the technical rulemakings adopted by the Commission. He was the primary author of the 1996 Grandfathered Short-Spaced item, and has provided his technical expertise for various Technical Streamlining items, the Low Power FM items, and the recently adopted Allocations Streamlining and Rural items, among others.

Jim has also been responsible for handling the thousands of applications filed in the 2007 NCE FM window. He was an instrumental participant in the Bureau’s first electronic filing system, CDBS, and is the Bureau’s primary liaison for the proposed Commission-wide Consolidated Licensing System (CLS).

Jim lives in Maryland with his wife and two children.
